The Muppets (2011) review at Let Them Eat Popcorn
I recently wrote a review for the new Muppets movie for a blogfriend of mine over at Let Them Eat Popcorn.
“…twelve years after The Muppets’ last theatrical release, Muppets From Space (1999), they’re at it again in the new eponymously named The Muppets written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller…It takes us back to our childhood when we really believed in talking frogs and pigs, instead of looking for signs of the puppet master. It is such a great film, whether you are young in years or just young at heart.”
I won’t give it all away, but head on over to Let Them Eat Popcorn, tell them what you think, and of course, tell me what you think. I suggest you all check out The Muppets (in theatres now), because it was well worth the time and it brings back my childhood as clearly as chicken noodle soup while watching the Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, and oh yeah, the Muppets (both baby form and the original)
Longtime Muppet fans will undoubtedly have more fun than young ones, but for the most part, it’s a witty, delightful romp, that shows you that you can still be funny, without ever being mean still in 2011. Good review.
